How Do I Freeze or Delete My Account?
On this page
Freezing locks your account until you unfreeze it. Deleting removes it for good.
Freezing
Freeze your account from Security Settings if you think it is at risk. Once frozen, most actions are restricted, including signing in and placing orders. Be aware that when you freeze:
- All pending deposit and withdrawal orders are cancelled.
- All exchange orders are cancelled.
- All API keys for your account are deleted.
- All trusted devices are removed.
- Your identity verification is kept.
Unfreeze from the sign-in page: you verify your identity through the factors bound to the account, including your authenticator if you have one, and the account is unlocked. A frozen account cannot reset its password until it is unfrozen.
Deleting
Delete your account from Security Settings or the Delete Account page. Deletion is irreversible: you lose access to the account and its transaction history. You can also request deletion from outside the app through the Data Deletion page.
When it is not possible
An account with an ongoing transaction or an unresolved appeal cannot be frozen or deleted. Complete or resolve it first. Withdraw your balances before deleting; a deleted account cannot be recovered.
