How Do Two-Factor Authentication and the Fund Password Protect My Account?

PayAny uses two separate protections: two-factor authentication guards signing in and security changes, and the fund password guards your money.

Two-factor authentication (2FA)

2FA adds a one-time 6-digit code on top of your password. It can come from an authenticator app (TOTP, such as Google Authenticator) or from a code sent to your mobile. To turn on an authenticator:

  1. Install an authenticator app on your phone.
  2. Under Security Settings choose Enable authenticator and add your PayAny account name and the key shown, or scan the QR code.
  3. Enter the 6-digit code from the app to finish.

Keep the key somewhere safe. It is the only way to restore the authenticator on a new phone: PayAny does not offer key recovery. If you lose it, contact support to have the authenticator removed, then link a new one.

Fund password

A separate 6-digit password, different from your login password, asked for when you submit a withdrawal and for other sensitive actions. It is not asked again if you retry the same order. Set it under Security Settings; it is required before a withdrawal can be submitted. Too many wrong attempts lock it temporarily.

Changing security settings

Changing your email, mobile number, login password, authenticator or fund password always starts with verifying your identity through the factors already bound to the account. Security alerts about these changes are always sent, whatever your notification preferences. Withdrawals are not paused after a security change.

Good to know

  • Bind both an email and a mobile number so you always have a second way to receive codes.
  • Signing in from a device PayAny has not seen before may ask for an extra verification code.
  • Login password and fund password must be different from each other.
