How Does Exchange Work on PayAny?
On this page
Exchange converts money you already hold from one currency to another, inside your own account, at a rate PayAny quotes. There is no order book and no counterparty — you are converting your own balance.
Placing an exchange
- Open Exchange and choose the currency you are paying with and the one you want. Any two supported currencies can be exchanged, in either direction.
- Enter the amount. The rate, the fee and the amount that will land are shown before you confirm.
- Confirm. The rate is locked at that moment, and both balances update together.
What if the rate moves while I confirm?
Quotes refresh continuously. If the rate changed before your order was placed, nothing is booked; you review the new rate and confirm again. If the market moves after you confirmed, the order shows Pending and an operator books it by hand at the rate you saw. Your rate is never changed after confirmation.
Exchanging money that has not arrived yet
You can exchange against a deposit that is still pending. The exchange is booked now at the rate you confirm and settles the moment the deposit is credited. The deposit’s page shows how much of it can still be exchanged.
Where to see it
Every exchange appears under Exchange Orders with both legs, the rate it was booked at and its status. Conversions that came with a deposit or a withdrawal are shown too; use Only the ones I placed to hide them. Repeat an earlier exchange in one tap.
Good to know
- An exchange can be cancelled only while it is Pending. A cancelled exchange moves nothing.
- If a currency is temporarily suspended, it cannot be exchanged until it is restored.
- Signed-out visitors see the reference rate. An account is quoted its own rate.
